How about entering the office of the President of the Republic?
A few months before the election of the new President of the French Republic, the Galerie Perrotin, located at 76 street of Turenne in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, opens the doors to the famous Golden Hall of the Elysée Palace, where the most important decisions are made.
The contemporary artist Laurent Grasso is the creator of this 16min short film that takes us inside the daily life of the man who regularly deals with the hottest political issues.
Everything is filmed slowly and realistically. A few excerpts from Francois Hollande’s speeches are scattered throughout the film and it is understood that the place must then remain in the utmost calm. Moreover, this calm is palpable and the
spectacular view of the gardens of the Elysée through the large windows of the office, contribute greatly.
The projection will run until January 14th.
And in order to linger in an atmosphere of golden and sumptuous decorations, after leaving Galerie Perrotin, Paris Art de Vivre recommends you to dine at the famous restaurant La Tour d’Argent – if you are lucky to get a table! This establishment located in the 5th arrondissement, has been frequented by all the successive Presidents of the Republic, and is one of the oldest in Europe. It is also renowned for its panoramic view of the Seine, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Ile de la Cité.
In addition to the finest cuisine by Chef Philippe Labbé, La Tour d’Argent has a rare wine list that will impress the greatest enthusiasts.
A delightful day ahead.
