If you went out of the Grand Palais in Paris, you probably walked on that bridge. During summer, the golden sculptures shine, making it even more beautiful.
The Alexandre III Bridge in Paris is probably one of the most amazing bridge in Paris. The bridge was build for the opening of the 1900 Paris Universal Exhibition. It symbolized the friendship between Russian Emperor Alexandre III and French President Sadi Carnot.
It is situated south of the Champs Elysees and leads to the Invalides. The bridge is made of steel and four granite columns support the structure from each side. It is illuminated by 32 bronze candelabras. The decorations all over the bridge have a precise meaning : art, science, and France’s History, from middle age to modern times.
